Angry Pixel

This was a solo project. The only true constraint was to create a platformer game.

 

 

So I went for a game with no serious background or justification whatsoever : an angry pixel, whose family was brutally murdered by bunnies, wants revenge.

 

I started off with basic gameplay elements : moving around, firing attacks, a goal to achieve, traps and ennemies...

More importantly, this is my first personnal try at anything that even remotely resembles AI.

 

The final boss has 4 different behaviours and switches randomly between them. The intensity of said behaviours increases when he enters "rage mode" (after a certain percentage of his life is gone).

 

Various difficulty levels change the location of traps, ennemy life, boss life and behaviour intensity, and also reduce player attack versatility.

 

Credits :

Music and bunny sprites excluded, every single aspect of the game was made by me. Graphical resources, GUI and textures, 3d model, and of course most particularily the programming.

 

Music and bunny sprites are from MapleStory and are © Nexon.

 

Final boss is a friend's face, that's why I had to censor-bar him.
